International Healthy Streets Summit 2019
We are excited announce that we sponsored the Best Healthy Streets Innovation Award last night for the Healthy Streets Awards! Hosted in Glasgow, the awards represent a collaboration between Landor LINKS and Public Health Specialist Lucy Saunders, who has worked alongside TfL to create the framework that implements Healthy Streets. The approach itself refocuses the perspective of decision making by prioritising the health and wellbeing of the public.
Yesterday was the award ceremony, which showcases a number of fantastic schemes under a collection of diverse categories such as the Healthy Streets Champion, Best Shared Transport and Community Project of the Year. The Best Healthy Streets Innovation Award includes technology innovations such as air quality improvement with green walls and active travel infrastructure with cycle schemes. This year sees a range of finalists presenting their schemes, from local authorities such as the London Borough of Haringey to private companies such as Cyclehoop.
Today is the conference itself, where people will have a chance to network and discuss their best practices from different disciplines. This includes several speakers who will be debating and discussing the delivery and implementation of healthy streets where some of the discussions will be hosted with an international panel.
