World Mental Health Day
Today is the twenty seventh World Mental Health Day and we are proud to support it here at Project Centre. For nearly three decades, World Mental Health Day has acted as a global push to bring prevalent issues into discussion and not be restricted by stigma or discrimination. It’s a chance to shed light on mental health issues that are incredibly common. For example, one in four people suffer from mental health-based issues. Without an appropriate social forum, a huge number of people suffer in silence.
As a community, Project Centre try to provide the environment that allows people to have their voices heard. Our parent company, Marston Holdings, provides Mental Health Ambassador training, where staff can sign up and receive appropriate instruction on how to interact with mental health issues in the workplace. Project Centre’s newly trained, four Mental Health Ambassadors, provide a confidential space to listen to the problems, personal or professional, that are affecting our employees and the resources to signpost the best steps forward.
