We’ve welcomed Tim Walker as a Principal Consultant
Project Centre has appointed Tim Walker as Principal Consultant at our London office where he will support Chris Harrison to manage and develop the parking and traffic orders team.
Tim began his career at Project Centre as an order maker and makes a welcome return after 11 years working in the public sector. Prior to re-joining us, he was Programme Manager for a £28m portfolio of parks and leisure capital investment projects. He also led the Parking Design and TMO team at Southwark Council for 9 years and oversaw the introduction of many new parking zones, cycle hire and car clubs to the borough as well as making substantial improvements to processes and systems in the era of ‘digital by default’.
As a geographer, he has used GIS at every given opportunity; from the mapping and analysis of consultation results, to re-presenting traffic surveys into easy-to-understand formats, to delivery of online maps of all parking restrictions on and off street. He also led the way in London in the making of map-based traffic orders for housing estates, following the introduction of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012.
Tim has nearly 20 years’ experience leading projects and programmes in the fields of highways, sustainable transport, public realm and parking management and is looking forward to bringing his experience into Project Centre and delivering our shared values of People, Passion and Places.
Welcome back, Tim!
