Welcoming our new Regional Director, Andy Brookfield
We are delighted to announce the appointment of our new Regional Director who will be overseeing our new Manchester office.
Andy Brookfield has over 22 years’ experience in the traffic and transport planning field working on both private and public sector projects. His areas of expertise include many elements of transportation and highways works including development planning, the preparation of transport assessments and masterplan schemes, car park design, travel plans, highway infrastructure business case development, traffic management schemes, highways junction design and appraisal, public transport schemes, car park design and other transportation planning related work.
His key clients include Manchester United Football Club where he has acted as Project Director for the provision of highways related serves to the football club to allow the continued development of the Old Trafford Stadium and its associated operations and parking provision. Andy also provided expert witness advice on behalf of MUFC as part of the recent Metrolink planning inquiry for the Trafford Park Line extension.
Andy also acted as Venue Project Manager for Old Trafford for the 2012 Olympics and was responsible for the delivery of the transport plan affecting spectator journeys. The plan contained all of the information required to implement the traffic management and parking measures required to successfully stage the event.
Further to this he was responsible for the production of the original travel plan and parking and transport strategy for the operations of the Etihad Campus the home to the Etihad Stadium and Manchester City Football Club, the National Cycling Centre, National Squash, Regional Athletics and Tennis Centres. He is also continually involved with works at Manchester Airport including the delivery of the new Terminal 2 development and its associated highways and car parking.
