Project Centre become BIM accredited
Building Information Modelling, or BIM, is the management of information through the whole life cycle of a built asset from initial design all the way through to construction, maintaining and finally de-commissioning, using digital modelling. It’s all about collaboration – between engineers, owners, architects and contractors in a common data environment, sharing information across these disciplines, that provides insights into constructability, reduces errors and improves efficiency.
We are very pleased to announce that Project Centre has successfully passed its BSI Audit and has been recommended for the BIM Design and Construction BSI Kitemark accreditation. Our CAD Manager and BIM pioneer, Antony Billett successfully managed this process with Regional Director Kevin Donnelly who provided senior management team sponsorship.
This accreditation is for UK BIM Framework (BIM Level 2) as defined in ISO 19650:2018 and enables us to prove our credentials in relation to the industry recognised standard for the design and construction phase.
Our BIM Champions helped us achieve accreditation over the last 18 months. This entailed cultivating a comprehensive understanding of company BIM governance and policies, regular meetings on BIM Strategy and providing insights to best practice for different departments, as well as many other duties.
A huge thank you to champions Andre Diniz, Asim Iqbal, Diana Mercado, George Godfrey, Jacinda Corlett, Kristina Coxall, Samuel Asare, Stefan Hoefer, Stuart Mclndoe, Tom Haslam. We are very excited to see how we excel with our new accreditation.
