Project Centre attend Social Value Practitioner Training
For the last decade, Social Value and SROI Accredited Practitioner Training has been offering an extensive course to provide insight into the importance of social value. The two day course offers a step by step introduction to Social Return on Investment, the theory of Social Value and the best practice for implementation, such as useful techniques like how to develop impact maps and explore real life examples. It spends time looking at case studies but also helps attendees develop their own based on the unique experiences of their company.
Head of Marketing and Engagement Nichola Mansfield and Business and Commercial Director Paul Adams both attended last week with the intention of learning how to appropriately categorise the value of intangible aspects, such as improvement to health, decrease to isolation or pollution reduction. While the value of such aspects is priceless, the impact they can bring to the wider company, communities and the individual is important and requires categorisation to accurately portray the effect they have.
The course is run by Tim Goodspeed, one of the original authors of the guide to SROI and is a member of the Social Value International Methodology Committee. He is also the Social Value UK Training Manager and uses his extensive experience to impart his knowledge on the attendees.
We are extremely glad that Paul and Nichola had the opportunity to expand their understanding of Social Value and we are excited to see how their newfound qualification can be applied to the company.
