PCL sponsor Landor’s Liveable Neighbourhoods 2019 Guide
Project Centre recently sponsored Landor who published a Liveable Neighbourhoods guide in partnership with TfL. The purpose of the guide is to act as an official supplement to inform the thinking of local authorities who need guidance for their Liveable Neighbourhood schemes. We were also extremely happy to contribute in the wake of the five successful Liveable Neighbourhood bids that we’ve won for boroughs such as Haringey and Tower Hamlets. As a result, we are excited to be involved in a process that can influence the extent of these schemes throughout London.
Not only did we help support the publication, but we also had two articles included as written by Nichola Mansfield, our head of Marketing and Engagement, and Chris Harrison, an associate director. Nichola’s entry was entitled ‘Projects are all about people’, where she astutely highlights the benefits of stakeholder engagement while warning of the perils of ignoring the local community. Chris’s article, ‘Community collaboration pays off’, describes the positive outcomes of having an eclectic governance structure for a project from the outset. Both pieces inform the larger whole of acting as an instructive document that will be indispensable to those local authorities starting out with their Liveable Neighbourhoods schemes and we could not be more thrilled to be a part of it.
