Mary Gillet appointed as Technical Director for Engineering
It seems fitting that on International Women’s Day we welcome Mary Gillet to Project Centre as our new Technical Director for Engineering. A talented chartered Civil Engineer, she has a background working with multi-disciplinary teams with WSP, Kent County Council and Westminster City Council. During her previous roles, Mary built a new professional team and established them as a centre of excellence for major infrastructure planning. Her achievements also include establishing the internal management and political governance regime for major capital programmes. With over twenty years of experience, we are excited to see what fantastic innovations she leads as part of our ever-growing team.
We are delighted that year-on-year the number of women working here has increased and that 25% of our colleagues are female. While this is only a small step towards a much more diverse percentage, compared to the national industry average of 19% female, we are happy to be moving in the right direction. Our gender diversity polices are frequently evaluated by the people most effected by equality gaps to ensure the voices that need to be heard are. We are also keen to nurture and develop talent at Project Centre, providing all colleagues with development opportunities including our successful graduate programme that strives to recruit a diverse selection of candidates.
