We were delighted to be at the opening of Margaret’s Bridge earlier this week (Mon 17 Sept) in Oldfield School, Maidenhead. This is our first designed bridge to be constructed and is a huge achievement for our Structures team.
We were commissioned by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead as the lead Structural Designer and Principal Designer for the 25m cycle/footbridge, which improves access to Braywick Park and Oldfield School.
The bridge was opened by the Prime Minister, Theresa May, and is named in memory of Margaret Bowdery MBE, a local campaigner and Chair of the Ramblers, who sadly passed away in 2016. Margaret campaigned for public rights of way locally and nationally and championed this project as well as many others.
