Lucy Marstrand to speak at CCAC Essex 2019
We are delighted to announce that Healthy Streets Advisor Lucy Marstrand has been selected to speak at the Cycle County Active County Essex conference. Hosted by Landor Links, the event features presentations and networking opportunities for walking and cycling stakeholders and the professionals who deliver these schemes, both internationally and domestic. More importantly, over 130,000 new homes are to be built in the next 20 years within Essex County and the conference is one of many steps taken to ensure that, from the outset, development centres around regeneration projects and integrated, sustainable transport connectivity. This is achieved through the comprehensive mix of attendees who will bring their wide range of expertise to bear, allowing best practices to be discussed, refined and adopted.
Under the topic of ‘Streets for all: accessibility and inclusivity’, Lucy will be speaking about Equal Streets: a closer look at walking and cycling. Other topics include, ‘New thinking in design and engineering workshop’, ‘Moving active travel up the political agenda’ and ‘International Insights’. We can’t wait to see all the interesting presentations and learn more about how cycling paves the way towards sustainability.
We can’t wait to attend and hear about the exciting plans for future projects in Essex. To book your place at this fantastic event, please click here:
