Joao Toscano – Principal Landscape Architect
Project Centre has appointed Joao Toscano as Principal Landscape Architect. He has 11 years’ experience and a track record of excellence working in projects across diverse sectors and geographies.
Joao will be based in Project Centre’s London Office where he will support delivering place-making and landscape solutions. Passionate about a landscape architecture and design, his strengths and interests also extend to broader strategic thinking, research and management.
His broad range of experience includes a key role in the Rio Olympic Park delivery and valuable input as part of the teams that delivered high quality public spaces such as the North West Cambridge Development and Leicester Square. His experience also includes smaller scale public realm interventions as he led the landscape design component for three different projects as part of a framework with Southwark Council: Keyworth Street, Lower Road and St. Olav’s Square.
A highlight from his previous experience was also his selection for the first AECOM UK Emerging Talent Group, a leadership training programme.
Joao is a high level strategic thinker with strong communications skills and ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams delivering highly complex projects. He also brings strong design and management skills as well as site supervision experience to the team.
