New Starters – DesignWorks

New Starters – DesignWorks

Welcome to our new starters! We are excited to introduce three fantastically talented team members to DesignWorks:

Joey Donovan – Landscape Architect

Now based in our Brighton Office, Joey spent five years in Vietnam, including two at a Singaporean Architecture, Landscape and Planning practice. Previous UK experience includes working in horticulture and landscape design and construction in North London. He has a keen interest in the effect of the built environment upon the psyche, at both a macro and micro level. Whilst landscape urbanism and greater ecological sensitivity in urban planning offer excellent opportunities for landscape architects, he still believes that we should honour the most fundamental component of the landscape- the garden.

Ana Neto dos Santos – Senior Landscape Architect

Ana has international experience in a wide range of project typologies from public realm to private sector. After having lived and worked in different countries, including Spain, Portugal, Holland and Kuwait she has resided in the UK since 2013.

Throughout these years she has gained an extensive experience in producing and delivering detailed documentation packages and supervising works on site. She has also developed management skills in coordinating assistants, consultants and contractors through the project lifecycle and build positive work relationships with the clients.

Gayatri Suryawanshi – Associate Director

Gayatri has over 15 years of experience gained through working on diverse urban design projects. She is experienced in managing and advising public and private sector client on large scale and complex projects in the realm of urban design and landscape, urban regeneration, city strategy, and masterplanning including transit-oriented development.

Having started her career in architecture and masterplanning and progressing into urban design, public realm and regeneration, she has the ability to bridge the gap between urban design, urban planning, landscape, transport and infrastructure and urban development planning to provide integrated solutions to complex urban issues.
